About Certified Orthotists and Prosthetists
Certified Orthotists (CO(c)) and Certified Prosthetists (CP(c)) are clinicians who have obtained an undergraduate degree followed by the completion of a two-year program in Clinical Methods in Orthotics and Prosthetics. Following graduation, CO(c)s and CP(c)s complete a two-year residency before attempting the rigorous national certification exam. Ongoing education is mandatory to keep up-to-date with current trends, emerging techniques and new technology and research.
More information about Certified Orthotists and Prosthetists can be found on the website of our national certifying body (Orthotics Prosthetics Canada). Click here to visit the OPC website.
